Ahlsell acquires SEMCAB
Ahlsell Sverige has signed an agreement to acquire all shares in SEMCAB, Swedish Electric Mechanical Construction Aktiebolag, a specialist in electrical distribution boards, switchgear and enclosure solutions. The company has 25 employees and annual turnover of approximately SEK 64 million.
Since 1999, SEMCAB has operated from Gävle, where the company supplies low-voltage switchgear, electrical distribution boards, ground-mounted cabinets, as well as control and enclosure systems. The company develops flexible, customer-adapted solutions based on customer needs and operates across Sweden.
Through the acquisition, Ahlsell strengthens its offering across several customer segments and gains access to additional expertise, shorter lead times and increased availability within electrical enclosure solutions with customer-specific assembly solutions. Ahlsell thereby broadens its market position and can offer an even stronger end-to-end solution across Sweden.
The transaction is expected to close in April 2026.
