Ahlsell AB has acquired Ålands Elcenter AB, a leading electrical wholesaler with a strong position on Åland. Through this acquisition, Ahlsell is establishing its operations on a new and interesting market where Ahlsell's wide range of products can create new business opportunities.
Ålands Elcenter has an annual turnover of just over SEK 30 million with good profitability and four employees.
"With this acquisition, Ahlsell strengthens its position as a supplier of electrical products on the Nordic market. We also gain access to an interesting market where Ahlsell's wide range of products can create new business opportunities", says Göran Näsholm, President and CEO of Ahlsell.
The company's activities will form a new subsidiary of Ahlsell AB on Åland, Ahlsell Åland AB, and will form a part of its Swedish operations.
The acquisition will be effective as of January 1, 2007.
